Investigation and Classification

1. A takeover unit is formed. It gives incarceration lectures, makes direct investigation, conducts indirect surveys and gives psychological tests. It compiles data, and files complete individual documents. These data are analyzed, discussed and ascertained. Then the unit draws up an initial treatment guidance program, and submits it to Investigation and Classification Guidance Committee for discussion. After it is examined and approved, the unit carries out the program. 2. The takeover unit and the regeneration protection committee cooperate to give inmates appropriate protection, assistance and guidance. They help the inmates achieve self-renewal with their own efforts. This way the inmates can adapt themselves to social life without difficulty.

Prison Service and Contact

  1. The reception room provides Nursing room, a big Air-conditioner, a drinking fountain, a TV, books, newspapers and magazines. Potted plants, desks, chairs, pens, paper and fare show windows are also placed. Application procedure for reception is posted on the bulletin board. And the procedure is streamlined. 2. The first Sunday of each month is visitor’s day. Inmates’ family members can apply for visitation privilege. 3. The prison has a website (www.ttp.moj.gov.tw). Important information related to citizens appears on the web page. Citizens can go on line for inquiry. Citizens can also apply for a confinement certificate on line. 4. Set the One-stop Window service for Citizens to process their applications case. 5. Good neighborliness is strengthened.
