Results of Administrative Corruption Investigation by Agency Against Corruption (AAC) of the Ministry of Justice (MOJ)

       To meet the public's expectations for anti-corruption work and increase trust in the government, the Agency Against Corruption (AAC), Ministry of Justice, directed government employee ethics units of different levels to take disciplinary actions against public servants who: are being investigated for illegal activities, have committed administrative violations, or have violated the Integrity and Ethics Direction for Public Servants for non-corruption crimes. The purpose of such efforts is to prevent corruption by ensuring public servants' legal awareness and compliance with the law.

      For 4th quarters of 2023, AAC handled in total 40 cases of administrative corruption investigation. Regarding the categories of offenses, there were 1 case of Immigration and Coast Guard, 4 cases of Healthcare, 2 cases of Education, 1 case of River and Gravel Management, 2 cases of Environmental Protection, 6 cases of Police Department, 11 cases of Civil Affairs, Household Registration, Military Service and Land Administration, 1 case of Judicial Affairs, 2 cases of Transportation, Tourism and Weather, 1 case of Administrative Affairs, 1 case of Agriculture, Forestry, Fishery and Animal Husbandry, 1 case of Legal Affairs, 1 case of National Property Management,and 1 case of Fire Department,.1 case of Banking and Insurance, 2 cases of Military Affairs and 2 cases of Industrial and Commercial Supervision Official Ranks of the Staff Disciplined: 6 senior staff, 43 associate staff, 17 junior staff, and 10 contract and hired staff, with a total of 76 persons;Disciplinary Punishment: Dismissal (including dismissal and suspension) to 7 persons, demerits to 40 persons, and reprimand to 34 persons.
