As part of ongoing commitment to public health and disease prevention, Taitung Prison has successfully completed inmate chest X-ray screening tour in first quarter 2026. This seasonal X-ray screening program is a vital part of Taitung Prison's healthcare protocol, ensuring the early detection of respiratory illnesses and infectious diseases, especially Tuberculosis (TB), within the correctional environment.

Taitung Prison appointed Jiahe Medical Imaging Center to assist with the crucial chest X-ray screening by bringing professional medical imaging services directly into the facility about twice a month.This comprehensive examination,which ran from January to March 2026, was conducted in the playground waiting area of Taitung Prison.There are 326 inmates participating in the screening program this season.Taitung Prison always maintains high standards of health monitoring in order to protect the safety as well as well-being of the prisoners, and entire staff even community.
